The oestrus detector, apart from determining the best moment for mating, can also be used to confirm early pregnancy (from 19 to 23 days after mating). In the event that the female is not pregnant, the device can detect the next oestrus that will appear in the following days.
By recording the changes in electrical resistance in the vaginal mucosa, the farmer has the possibility of determining the symptoms that indicate the approach of ovulation.
The measurements are easy and consist of the introduction of the probe, finished with two electrodes, into the vagina of the animal and the reading of the results.
To detect oestrus and early pregnancy, it is necessary to take one or two measurements daily for several days.
