Hierarchy

In a group of pigs a superiority or subordination order is established. To establish the hierarchical order the animals fight. The more fights are won, the higher the social level is reached, and vice versa. The majority of the hierarchies in pigs are linear. We refer to ‘dominant’ and ‘subordinated’ pigs.
