Serous arthritis presents, in this case, with swelling in the elbow joint, which is the shape and size of a tennis ball. After making a cut on the lesion, a stringy and transparent liquid —normal synovial fluid— comes out.Causes of serous arthritis include minor irritations or traumas without injury to the skin, and it usually affects only one joint.
