Pyogenic arthritis in the elbow joint is the result of friction with the floor in the farm. The resulting skin erosion is an open gateway for germs to contaminate the joint cavity.

The most common pathogen in this type of injuries is Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, but opportunists such as streptococci, staphylococci, Escherichia coli, etc. can also be found.
