Possible causes: AppEnzootic Pneumonia (EP)Pasteurellosis
Purulent bronchopneumonia found in a fattening pig in the slaughterhouse . Pulmonary consolidation can be seen in the right apical lobe, which shows a deep red colour, with granules that expel a purulent, foul-smelling fluid when cut. This type of injury is compatible with Pasteurella multocida infection, alone or in combination with other agents such as Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Streptococcus suis or, more rarely, Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
