The lesion in the skin of a fattener is a necrotizing haemorrhagic dermatitis, located especially in the perineal area, hind limbs, and milder on the abdomen, forelimbs and ears. The cause of the porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS) is related to PCV2.
