Necrotizing dermatitis

Where:

Possible causes: Porcine circovirosis

This is a case of Porcine Dermatitis and Nephropathy Syndrome (PDNS): in the skin, this lesion corresponds histopathologically with vasculitis which produces necrosis and hemorrhages. The skin usually has a central necrotic black area. Often, to some degree, renal lesions can be noticed (particularly: increased kidney volume and renal petechiae). It has been usually associated with PCV2 infection.
