Bilateral necrosis of the tips of the ears. The appearance of this necrosis, bilateral or unilateral, is frequent. It presents acutely, starting with sporadic cases, and then continues to increase until it becomes generalized to several pens and to most of the animals in the affected pens within a few days.
Although this is a multifactorial process, the cause of this case is the incorporation of raw materials with mycotoxins into the feed. However, other causes must be ruled out, such as stocking density, respiratory pathologies, and any cause of stress.
