This lesion is an interstitial pneumonia. Lungs are non-collapsed, with prominent interstitial edema and multifocal reddish to pink areas corresponding to inflammation affecting different lobules. The most common etiologies for this lesion are viruses, specially PCV2, PRRSV and Aujeszky's disease virus (ADV).
