Fibrous peritonitis

Where:

Possible causes: Glässer diseaseStreptococcal infections

The multiple adherences of the pleura and peritoneum are indicative of inflammation of several serosal surfaces (polyserositis). In this case, the resistance and white color of adhesions indicate a chronic course (fibrous polyserositis). This lesion is usually related with Glaesserella parasuis infection, but other etiologies could be Streptococcus suis or Mycoplasma hyorhinis.
