These lungs with fibronecrotic pleuropneumonia lesions belong to a pig in a growing/finishing unit suffering a respiratory disease outbreak with sudden deaths. Some of the dead pigs had fibronecrotic pleuropneumonia, pleurisy and pericarditis. Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae serotype 8 was detected in these lungs.
