This lesion corresponds to a fibrinous polyserositis in a pig with Glässer’s disease caused by Glaesserella parasuis, also known as Porcine polyserositis and artritis. Typically it causes polyserositis, meningoencephalitis and polyarthritis. Differential diagnosis includes Streptococcus suis type 2, Mycoplasma hyorhinisArcanobacterium pyogenes and E.coli.
