Cystic endometrial hyperplasia

Where:

Possible causes: Other

The uterus appears enlarged and when opened, at the endometrium numerous cysts are seen, of different sizes and filled with fluid. This process is due to excessive or prolonged hormonal stimulation. In the sow, one possible cause is exposure to the mycotoxin zearalenone.

We must make a differential diagnosis with inflammation of the uterine mucosa (endometritis).
