Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment - Spain AuthorDegree and PhD in veterinary medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid. Author or co-author of 10 scientific publications in international journals with impact index, of 11 communications in International Congresses, and also shares an international patent.
Civil servant of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, he has worked in the unit of authorization and registration of medicines for veterinary use, where he became the representative of Spain on the Committee for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use of the European Medicines Agency.
Subsequently, he was responsible for the National Research Plan on Residues in live animals and fresh meat and for the first Salmonella control plans on livestock farms.
Shortly after, he went on to render his public service in the field of animal feeding, where he developed the tasks of the unit, including his participation in the authorization of feed additives, as representative of Spain in the Standing Committee of the Food Chain and Animal Health, animal nutrition section, monitoring of alerts and development of the R+D of medicated feed, in addition to coordinating the first research study of Salmonella in feed.
Currently, he is responsible for the area of livestock and environment, acting as the focal point of livestock for all those environmental aspects related to livestock, in particular, the inventories of pollutant gases, greenhouse gases and other potential pollutants from livestock production.
