Obtained a Bachelor degree in Animal Science at MacDonald College from McGill University in 1983.

Completed a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at University of Montreal in 1987.

Swine consultant for production, veterinary medicine, and people management.

Has worked for an integrated company for 33 years (1987- 2020). Has been breeding herd production manager for the 27,000 sows of the company (2013-2020). Expertise is in sow and boar stud, herd health, production, and people management.

Interests are animal production, disease prevention and eradication, biosecurity, and animal welfare.

Involved in different committees over the years such as “Research Chair on food safety of Montreal University”, regional PRRS control and eradication projects, and more recently the Association of Veterinarians in Animal Production of Quebec (AVIA) in charge of the continuing education program (2018 to present).

Past president of the Canadian Association of Swine Veterinarians (2007) and on the organizing committee of the IPVS meeting held in Canada in 2010.

In 2012, received the prestigious “Al Leman Science to Practice” award from the University of Minnesota for career achievements.
