Christine Brøkner

Technical Manager at Hamlet Protein - Denmark Author

Christine Brøkner is a Technical Manager at Hamlet Protein. She manages the new product development pipeline, global product portfolio and is in charge of research projects supporting all animal categories. Main research focus areas are inflammation, oxidative stress response and morphological changes in mammals and avian intestine due to soy antigens and other soy anti-nutritional factors. She leads NPD projects from concepts to new products and go-to-market strategy and implementation. She has a M.Sc. degree from both Colorado State University, USA and University of Copenhagen, Denmark specializing in protein and energy metabolisms in large herbivore animals. She obtained her PhD degree in dietary fiber ingredients and gastro intestinal health at the University of Copenhagen in close collaboration with Aarhus University, Foulum, Denmark. As an assistant professor at University of Copenhagen she worked with validating in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo animal models to test functional feed ingredients across animal species. She is the author of many conference abstracts and peer reviewed papers within the field of feed ingredients and young animal nutrition.
